Three pass type sand dryer machine manufacturing

With a three-layer heat insulation effect and a self-heating structure that lets it circulate, the three-pass sand dryer is a high-efficiency dryer. Three cylinders are inlaid reasonably, which prevents heat from escaping.

What Is Three-pass sand dryer Machine?

The three-pass sand dryer is high-efficiency. The clamps are made from European energy-saving technology. The inner cylinder, the middle cylinder, and the outer cylinder form a self-insulating structure. Also, the drum can be wrapped with thermal insulation and stainless steel plate to keep heat out.

The special thermal design concept eliminates the heat loss of the wind tunnel, increases the heat exchange area and evaporation intensity per unit volume, and has a good energy-saving effect. As part of our environmental and resource-saving policy, it’s an environmentally friendly and energy-saving product that replaces traditional drying equipment.

The equipment can dry yellow sand, river sand, machine-made sand, quartz sand, slag, fly ash, ore powder, etc. base, biomass and other fuels.

There are several kinds of three-pass dryers that are used for drying granular materials within a certain humidity range, like yellow sand used in dry powder mortar; various types of foundry sand; blast furnace slag and clay used in construction, cement, and chemical industries; small particle materials that can’t undergo chemical changes, don’t mind high temperatures or dust pollution. Different industries have different requirements for the final moisture content of dried materials, so the moisture content can go below 1%.

  • Saving us 15-20% of fuel !

We save 15-20% on fuel with Dura Mortar's three-pass sand dryer, compared to the traditional single cylinder dryer, which makes us very happy!

  • Maintenance of three-pass sand dryer

    • In order for the bearing to last for a long time, good lubrication is important. Injection of lubricating oil and a good seal play a major role in the machine’s service life and performance. Main oiling places for the machine are (1) rolling bearings (2) roll bearings (3) all gears (4) movable bearings and sliding planes.
    • A newly installed hoop is prone to loosening and needs to be checked often.
    • Check that all parts of the machine are working.
    • Keep an eye on the wear degree of wearable parts, and replace them if they’re worn out.
    • There should be no dust or other objects on the plane of the bottom frame where the movable device is placed to prevent the movable bearing from moving when the machine runs into unbreakable materials.
    • You should stop the machine right away if the bearing oil temperature rises.
    • It should be stopped immediately for inspection and eliminated if there’s an impact sound when the rotating gear is running.

How the sand dryer machine works?

By feeding the sand through the filter hopper and disc feeder, it gets fed to the belt conveyor, then it gets transported by belt conveyor to the quicksand tube, which passes through the hot blast stove, and then it gets into the main engine through the quicksand tube barrel. As soon as the sand gets into the three-pass inner cylinder, it’s quickly pushed forward by the fixed stirring impeller and forward-rotating blades until it gets to the other end of the three-pass, where it’s one return pass. It’s good for the material to advance forward because the inlet and outlet ports are small.

When the material gets to the other end, the baffle blocks it and it goes back to the middle cylinder. In the discharge port, the middle cylinder is a bit longer than the inner cylinder and is connected to the baffle. The sand is also rotated back to the feeding material in the middle cylinder by the revolving blades. Here’s the second return; the material flows from the discharge end of the large mouth to the feed end of the small mouth.

Due to the middle cylinder being a little shorter than the outer cylinder, the sand enters the three-pass outer cylinder, which is the third return trip, and is pushed forward.

To disperse and discharge the sand, the middle and outer cylinders’ back plates are vertically inlaid with steel plates. Water and dust can be discharged through the discharge port, which has dust removal and exhaust ports. With filtration, the sand can reach the water content it needs after three return trips of frying, turning, and drying, and then the belt conveyor transports it to the finished product silo.

Dura Mortar's sand dryer machine: how will it benefit you?

Dura Mortar’s three-pass sand dryer can dry a lot of stuff. Machine-made sand from sand and gravel plants, cement from cement plants, blast furnace slag from building materials plants, clay from mineral processing plants, small particles that don’t mind high temperatures in chemical plants.

It guides and lifts the materials so they’re heated evenly in the cylinder, so it’s a three-pass dryer. Depending on what the industry requires for materials, materials with different humidity enter the dryer and come out with water content of 0.5. -1% qualified.

The three-pass dryer uses the design of the sleeve, so heat energy is transferred back and forth in the cylinder to reduce heat loss. It’s twice as efficient as a single cylinder dryer, and it takes less coal. Only use a third as a single drum dryer. In addition, the three-pass dryer is 40% smaller than the single-cylinder dryer, so it’s 60% cheaper to do the civil work.
